And you think God likes you?

It came to my attention that Protesters were picketing funerals for Soldiers. You have got to be kidding me. What is wrong with you? One of the signs for this "church" was and I quote; "God Hates Fags" and my favorite, "God Hates The World". Excuse me? Are you on Crack? You claim to be christian church organization yet you say the bible is wrong. In the bible, it says, in john 3:16. "For God so loved the world, let me say it again, For God so loved the world, that while we were yet sinners, he gave his son to die for us." He loved the world. i'm not an expert but if God hated the world, I doubt we'd be here honestly. If you think all these things and still think God smiles on you...you might want to sort out your priorities. Just Sayin.

Why They Fight vs Why We Fight

I was talking to an ex girlfriend of mine who is stationed in Iraq. She said that it's "the same old, same old" there. I have another friend, Dan, who is over there as well. He says thats "It's just another day". We are lulled into a sense of false relaxation by them remarks. They don't just sit around over there and drink koolaid while getting a tan. They fight for our country, or freedom, our way of life, and we owe them our respect. That issue with the protesters at that young servicemens funeral was excuse my french, Horseshit. I frankly don't care what their justifications were. you are more than welcome to your opinions, but let other people have theirs. They had no right to protext on that hardest day that family has had to face yet. No right. Personally, if that was my boys funeral...well I'd be in jail right now.

Say thank you to a service men, any service men. I dare you.

The Ability to Overcome

Trials are apart of life. They are always hounding us, always looming over our heads. Like one of those headaches that just won't go away. It's hard to not get knocked out of commission by these constant roadblocks. Ssome are lucky enough to see these comng and jump over them. Some roadblocks, however, sneak up on you or are just suddenly there. Death is a big one.
Death has been the one obstacle mankind cannot avoid, cure, or stop no matter how hard we try. However sometimes death is chosen, rather than it just happening. Suicide is a cincept few understand and even less can comprehend. Its ugly no matter the angle. It is not always forseen but it IS always painful. the most dreadful of which is losing a child to suicide. For a parent to have to bury their child is to bury part of their heart, their soul, their very existance. It is hands down the hardest thing a parent has to do. I don't mean for this first entry to be depressing, on the contrary, this will be a fun blog. But I want people to know this is out there. This is real. Talk with your children. If you need help, talk to someone. Don't let this problem become to end. Be aware.
