The World according to Tiny Tim

I find myself today in a Local Coffee shop. Looking around, I notice Picture frames on the walls, Some empty, some with words in them. One in particular says this, "God bless us, Everyone". Lets take a Minute and break this down. It's obvious where the quote is from. Every child who has ever heard the name Scrooge knows this sentence and the little boy who uttered it. He had nothing. His body was deformed. Yet his spirit never wavered. His faith in the good of mankind never faltered. He always believed the best possible outcome would be what happened next. His family was poor, his father overworked and underpaid. His mother worried about everything, literally. Yet he always had a smile on his face...always. We have everything we could want or need and then some. Yet we bitch and moan about how bad our lives are. I know, I do it quite often. When I saw this quote, I couldn't shake it from my brain. It taunted me like the carrot at the end of a stick. So close yet i just couldn't get it. Then it hit me. We have become so used to being unhappy that we are comfortable with it. Even consider it a way of life. To just be.

Well I'm sick of it. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm ready for a new outlook. I Think the World could use one too. Try a little Happiness, a little kindness. Think of others first instead of yourself. You might be surprised at how happy you become. :) Cheers.
